HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!! ~Lori
This card has evolved into a triple challenge card, SCS WT #204 and CBI #17. and FTCC1... I will be back later to leave details. TFL! Have a great day! ~Lori

Today I decided to create a card with a build-a-house scene. It was a learning experience for me! A little trial and error goes a long way! :) The card kind of evolved as I went along. I didn't have a l/o in mind so it took longer than I would've liked! This also fits the Flourishes FTCC1. I started with a smaller piece of CS. For the house frame and roof. I cut the CS and layered the PP on the cut CS. The window base is PP cut in a small square and the panes are also small pieces of PP. The door and chimney are another small piece of PP. I added rhinestones and flower rub-ons to complete the house. The tree trunk is a piece of CS that I ran through the CB. For the tree top, I used a nestabilities scalloped circle and then ran it through the CB. I added a sentiment and bird to the tree top. It's easy to recreate, but time consuming due to all the pieces and layers that have to be cut.
I recently became a DT member for Dog Gone stamps. This elephant and love sentiment are just a couple of stamps she sent my way. My daughter loved the elephant image! I'll be adding more Dog Gone stamp projects for the next 6 months. So, you'll be seeing more playful and fun images.
Today is a milestone for me. I'm a first timer at MOJO MONDAY and OCC. (I have links in my sidebar). This card is for OCC. The challenge is to use more than two hearts on your project. Since I love Valentine cards. This was fun and easy breezy! :D TFL! Have a great evening!! ~Lori
P.S. Don't freak y'all....It's only 2009. Not 20009 :D

Read more...Over at SCS, today's challenge was to create a CAS (clean and simple card). Here's my simple creation....
The card base is whisper white. White usually generates a clean and simple look to cards. The PP is a Creating Keepsakes (ALL IN ONE KIT). Instead of using stamps. I decided to use rub-ons. Rub-ons are so fun and easy to use! The butterfly was punched in two different types of PP. I taped one of them to the card and the other one is adhered to it. Also, I ran the butterflies through the CB. I added twine instead of ribbon and a few brads. I hope this fits the simplicity bill! :D Have a great weekend!!
YEEPS! I heard a bunch more snow is headed our way! ~Lori

This sweet little flower card was made for today's Color Challenge found here . You are welcome to play along! :)
I decided to go shabby chic with this one! I added a lot of machine stitching, PP and CBing to add a lot of texture and detail.
The flower is stamped twice. Once on white CS and again on the PP . I then cut out flower stamped on the PP and adhered to flower stamped on the white CS.
The large scallops are nestabilities (which I lOVE). I ran them through the CB to add texture.
I found these adorable brads at the grocery store. I HAD to take them home with me!! I stamped and sponged the images and sentiment with Bravo Burgandy ink.

I had a blast making this little combo!! It's simply a tin I bought at Hobby Lobby for 1.50. I added valentine rub-ons. Some ribbbon. Put some paper shreds on the inside and made a super simple card to match. This combo could be used for several things! I have more blank ones I plan to decorate and add later!!
I'm in the process of switching out my template (cutest blog on the block is down right now). So, this might look weird for a couple of days! Have a great day! ~Lori

I was in the mood to stamp today but had a hard time keeping my holiday fatigued mind on track......Thanks for stopping by and taking a look!! This card was created for todays Color Challenge #199 at http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/showthread.php?p=12514533&posted=1#post12514533 The color challenge is one of my favorite SCS challenges.
Card size: 5 1/2 by 4 1/4 Embellishments: organza ribbon, satin ribbon, brads and SU HodgePodge
I layered Stampin UP Handsome Hunter and Bravo Burgandy CS (cardstock) on top of the Barely Bannana card base. I ran the Bravo Burgandy CS through the Cuttle Bug using the flourished bird folder.
The image is stamped on whisper white CS and then colored in with Stampin UP markers, ink and blender pens. The main panel is a die cut (Top Note) from Stampin UP. You can use this die cut with the Cuttle Bug. I then sponged the edges and panel with a couple different browns and more mustard craft ink. I hope that's not too confusing to follow!!
Have a GREAT day!!! ~Lori
By now you can probably tell that Splitcoaststampers is my source of inspiration!! Their daily challenges keep me motivated to stamp as often as time and family allow! You can join the SCS fun by simply clicking on a SCS challenge link in my sidebar.........TFL!!
I can't say this card was fun to create! It was a bear! The colors were very hard for me to work with. Luckily, I didn't give up! The card size is 5 1/2 by 4 1/4. It has a few layers of CS and I used the SU top note die as the main panel. The colors are cameo coral, so saffron and orchid opulence. The flower is a dollar tree punch. I used oval nestabilities, Swiss dots CB folder and organza ribbon. I added a little sponging around the edges and some piercing. TFL!! ~LoriThis card was made for a double challenge on SCS they can be found HERE http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/showthread.php?p=12459833&posted=1#post12459833 and HERE http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=405901&page=2
This little guy was created for a challenge SCS is hosting for a short time through the holiday. The challenge can be found here http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=405709
I know this card was a recent SCS challenge. I just can't think of which one at the moment (and I'm too lazy to go check :D).......This card is REALLY simple. I Cuttle Bugged the main panel in two different CB folders and added a large autumn leaves flower that I colored in with a blender pens. TFL! ~Lori Card size:5 1/2 by 5 1/2
Colors: SU soft sky, basic gray, white, kiwi kiss
Embellishments: ribbon, brads, chunky glitter
SU large and small oval punches for sentiment.
This card says French to me......The colors were for the color challenge at SCS (see sidebar for link) a couple weeks ago. I am SO in love with this SU cupcake stamp! It is a total favorite of mine!! I added a ton of paper piercing! I think piercing adds a lot of dimension to a card or project! I don't know about you but, I rarely sit down to make a card and have a definite l/o or design in mind. I'm not saying I never have a thought out plan. Although, more than not I seem to just start somewhere and roll (er, fight) with it! LOL! TFL! ~Lori
This card was created for a challenge (to use a recycled item) I chose to use a broken hair barrette medallion. You can participate in the challenges at http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ they have a new challenge everyday. These colors were inspired by the hair barrette medallion. I wasn't sure where I wanted this card to go when I started. I had to play with the l/o a little bit to get it to feel right. Ultimately, I'm happy with the overall turn out! TFL! *I hope to have more links added to my blog soon! *Card size: 5 1/2 by 5 1/2
Colors: soft sky, blue bayou, garden gree, and white all SU card stock
stamp set: retired *baroque motif
embellishments: Cutttle Bug, brads and recycled hair barrette medallion
Techniques: embossing, paper piercing ~Lori
