A few Cosmo Cricket goodies........

We have one store in town that carries a LIMITED supply of Cosmo Cricket products (supplies listed at end of post). Even though they carry very few products. I'm happy!! The kits go a LONG way and several projects can be completed with the kits. I completed ALL these projects with 1 kit and two cardstock sticker sheets. To top it off.....I have plenty of stuff left. Now, who can beat that?! lol

I thoroughly enjoyed creating each and everyone of these projects!! I hope you don't get bored....this is a LONG post! (:

************************************************************************************
I bought this birdhouse at Wal-Mart for less $2.62. I spray painted it and covered it with Cosmo Cricket Twist and Shout PP.

************************************************************************************
These little vellum envelopes were turned into good-y bags. I used more Twist and Shout PP.
The little bunny has a "cotton tail". Also, I used some of the cardstock stickers to dress them up.

************************************************************************************
The PP and die-cuts on this card are also from the Spring 08 line. The PP in this line is Twist and Shout. It was love at first sight when I first laid eyes on these little chick!!!!

************************************************************************************
This is my second favorite card I created with this kit!! I love the butterflies and the way the cardstock sticker and PP sentiment work together!! :D
************************************************************************************
Your a trooper if you've made it this far! lol I used more of those super cute cardstock stickers on this card! Cardstock stickers glam up a card in no time flat.....they take the work out or cardmaking and SB'ing. I made the flowers with some lace my mom bought for at a yardsale. Don't ya love a bargain! :)

************************************************************************************
Here's a quick and simple card using a die-cut from the Spring 08 collection......As you can see.....many projects are to be had from one kit!

************************************************************************************
This little number here has a clear base (yep, it's acetate baby). I punched out the little chicks with a circle punch and pop dotted them to the front of the card. The large panel in on the inside of the card.
************************************************************************************
For this project, I first cut the top off of a little brown bag. I then, punched holes around the top and weaved the ribbon through the holes. To dress it up. I added some PP, lace, a tag, pearls, a silk flower and lightly sponged the edges. I had some cellophane bags that will house some candy as part of my little nieces birthday present this coming weekend.
************************************************************************************
If you look closely (if you're still hanging with me lol) the notebook paper PP is handmade. I used some fine tip markers, graphed project protector paper from SU, a crop-o-dile and a ruler. It was easy.....I'm sure I'll be making more.
This card goes with the project above that I'm giving to my niece. I'll just add a birthday wish to the front of it (somewhere). lol

2s4u Monday......

Hi everyone.......it seems like forevah since my last post! Getting ready for the girls b-day party last week brought my blogging to a halt! Thankfully, the weather was nice! The girls had a wonderful time! So, all the hard work was worth it! :D

Now on to Kazan's cute sketch.....This week I used three of our sponsor items on my card. Teresa Collins PP, Starving Artist Stamps and the scor-pal. All three products were fun to use. I look forward to getting the sponsor products in the mail......It's always exciting to see whats in the package!

I decided to make this card a Father's Day card. It's the card my munchkins gave to their awesome daddy. My husband is in the best dads league! He's a very active, involved and loving daddy! He plays with them, goes to school functions, shows affection, takes them shopping and so many other fun and wonderful things! I am grateful to share parenthood with him!

As the 2s4u countdown continues.....it's gets more and more difficult to narrow down the entries!

GL to the top 10 this week!!!! :D

Finally, here's my card for the sketch.....

Have a wonderful week!!

P.S. I'm excited about attending CHA this summer! I've got tickets for the 31st and the 1st.

gift card set.....

Today has been a fun, relaxing day. Ive been trying to get caught up in the blogosphere. Like that will ever happen! lol I wish I had time to comment more but there just doesn't seem to be enough hrs in a day to get it all in. I do appreciate all of you who inspire me. Not only with your kinds words but all the wonderful cards and creations I see as I blog browse. I feel privileged to be among such talented peeps! Hugs to you all!!!

Here's a little gift project I created.....I took a regular white gift bag, decorated it. Then made a few cards to go in it. . I also decorated the envies to match the cards. The cards and envies are held together with a matching belly band. I mainly used a Melissa Frances kit I had bought off ebay to create this. The silk and velvet flowers are from Wal-Mart.

I'm itching to get back in my craft room. I've not created anything in several days. Maybe I'll get up there tonight!! Crossing my fingers!! :D

a little over the top maybe.......

I don't know about any of you.....but I have a penchant for designer handbags. I can't help it. I relish the quality and durability of designer handbags. They even smell wonderful! The rich smell of leather used to make the wallets and handbags are tantalizing to my fifth sense (that's my nose). My love affair started several years ago with Dooney & Bourke handbags. That was mainly what I bought handbag wise for several years. Well, last year I jumped on the Coach band wagon. It's my newest hand bag love affair. I got a wild hair and thought I would share my newest purchase with you. I won a little bet with my hubby and this was the result......

************************************************************************************* *************************************************************************************

It was pretty bright outside so I had some squinty eyes going on.....I should've wore my sunglasses. These photos are courtesy of my 11 yr old DD......she puts up with my craziness. lol I was also lucky enough to get an AWESOME black patten leather wristlet. It will house all the stuff I would normally put in a wallet or make-up case.

I hope to add some crafty projects today too. Have a GREAT weekend!! ~lori

P.S. I'm minus a cheesy smile in these photos because I still have braces.....I'll be glad to get them off so I can have my "smile" back.

a few of my favorite things....

This card is a little different than my norm.....I mixed quite a few colors and patterns that I wouldn't normally put together. The large medallion is cut from G.C.D. Studios PP. I layered a K & Company sticker on top of that (with much question). The striped PP is also GCD Studios and the cardstock is Stampin' UP. I added a silk flower, red gingham ribbon, paint and some rhinestones to complete this card. I have yet to decide if I like it or not! It's future is still unknown.....lol

2sketches4you Monday....

I'm sure excitement is running high by now......there was a ton of awesome entries to look through! Narrowing the list to 3o took some deep thinking! :) Don't forget to stop by 2sketches4you to see the new sketch and list of of the top 30. I'm looking forward to this weeks entries as well!! Lots of luck to the top 30!!!

This week Kazan gave us a super sketch to work with!! I decided to use a few pieces of Teresa Collins PP that was so graciously sponsored to us. The baby stamp is by American Crafts. The chipboard is g.c.d Studios. And the flower is a $ store "treasure". I added some faux stitching to add texture to the main image. I guess that's a wrap! lol

We're off on a little vacation to the Smokies for a few days....but I'm taking my lappy. So I can keep up! (:

Caardvarks 3-d challenge....

This is going to be another great challenge at Caardvarks!! I know there are a lot of you out there that LOVE 3-d projects. You can make a card, tin, bag etc.....The skies the limit!

For this challenge. Our Card Crew was sponsored product from Club Scrap. They have some really neat projects you can purchase and put together for almost any occasion! My project was an assignment notebook. My middle daughter loved it...she asked for days if she could have it. lol.....I may end up giving it to her eventually. Maybe I'll strike a deal with her....If she memorizes all her times tables before school starts I'll give it to her for her hard work. She's going to be in 3rd grade this fall and knowing all the multiplication facts going into third grade will be to her advantage. She loves math and has already started on multiplication...but I want her to know them as soon as she sees them. That means I better get busy making flash cards! :)

Here's a few photos of my project.......Thanks for stopping by! ~lori
