I created this l/o because Heidi said so. LOL I need more practice, it was good practice for me!!
Homespun Chic is such a fun and easy collection to use. The front of this card is tag embellie that you can buy. Several tags come in a package. The cute little brad is part of the collection as well.
This last card is the one I'm going to give my hubby for V-day. It's very simple and kinda masculine. I used a Stampin' Up wood grain BG stamp and some goodies from the Homespun Chic collection. I also squeeezed in some stamps from Nikki Sivils.
Here's a parting shot of all 15 girls.

Hi y'all....I hope your day is going well! If you're not having such a great day. Keep in mind.....Spring is around the corner. What a welcome sight!!
Monday I found out I made the Nikki Sivils DT. WOW! I was quite surprised! So today I thought I'd share a couple cards I made using her "My Sweet Cherry" line. This line is very fun and cutesy. The colors are simply delightful. Also, my kitchen is a cherry theme. So naturally, I think these papers are too cute!
I incorporated a small Zva Creative flourish on each card. They just add extra delight to the yummy paper!
I'll start off with a bouquet I created for GCD Studios CHA booth using the Homespun Chic collection. I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed using this collection! IMO it's one of the easiest collections I've ever created with! If you love shabby chic stuff...you may want this one!! It is not just a paper collection. It has many embellishments to match.
I created the flowers using different sizes of scalloped oval nestabilities and a scor-pal. I then layered the flowers with ribbon and embellishments from the Homespun collection.

The coffee cup was something I found at the Dollar Tree. It is made to decorate so jazzing it up was a cinch.
I wish I had some CHA photos to share with you today. Although, I'm sure you've seen a ton of them floating around blog land! I did manage to snap a few photos but not nearly enough! My computer is still acting up a lot so I'm using my hubby's laptop. It does not have an SD card slot. So, I can't edit or upload photos w/o a big hassle.
CHA trade show was an AWESOME experience!! I was able to meet so many WONDERFUL crafty peeps that I've met through this great industry! I will definitely jump at any chance to go again!
Below are several up-close photos of this set of wall tins. I also found these tins at Dollar Tree. I simply covered them with 8x8 sheets of paper from the Homespun collection. I then embellished them with products from the same collection.

I had the greatest privilege to make some projects for GCD Studios CHA booth using the Homespun Chic collection. This collection was so easy for me to use...the projects just seemed to flow right out of me. I love it when that happens!!
Have a super day!

Shoo....I'm finally getting this posted. I fell in love with this little deer cardstock sticker image and had to use it on this card. I added little "butterflies" to it's tail and on the pink pearl, Zva Creative flourish. The "butterflies" were created by gluing felt flowers together and snipping off one end. I added tiny pearls to the centers. The letters are foam thickers. They add some fun dimension to this card.
I hope you all have a beautiful weekend.
I'm so sorry I didn't get a post up today.....I will try to post it in the morning.

Well, today brings another Zva Creative peek. I used a lovely Crystal flourish on this little birthday card. The silk flower and brad are also from Zva Creative. I enjoy using them! They are just adorable together! The papers I used are by Jenni Bowlin as well as the flower die cut. I colored in the dots of the die cut to match the patterned paper.
I also used a Zva corduroy brad and felt flower. I think the texture of these two products together is amazing. Another must IMO! The ribbon is by Wright's I typically buy it by the yard at Wal-Mart when I do my grocery shopping.
The photo above is a sample of what you may get. I will divide some of this between each of the daily winners. GL! :D
have a great day ~lori
Read more...Today the kids have another snow day. It's the 3rd day in a row this week. Of course, they are thrilled to miss so much school. We ventured out today and had breakfast in town. It's a good thing we got back before more snow hit. The roads are getting covered again. And I'm not real brave when it comes to driving in the snow covered roads.
We're now sitting around the fireplace with our techno gadgets. While the snow piles up around us. Ahhh....what a blessed life!
I've been having a lot of fun using my Zva Creative goodies. And since it's been awhile since my last post I thought I would share a few of my newest cards.
I've been such a bad blogger lately so this post is full of this and that. First, I would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Christmas day can't get here soon enough for my kids. We still have some last minute shopping to do. I enjoy it though. My hubby and I have fun shopping for our munchkins. Our gifts will be wrapped with love and placed under our "evergreen" tree. :) I replaced our skinny tree with this one last year. The new one is beautiful! Well worth the $$!
I was able to get the kids still long enough to shoot some Christmas photos. I just used a cheap table cloth and my point and shoot camera to capture these. I used picnik.com to edit them.

Zva Creative Supplies used for snowman card: CR-02CB-101 (clear crystals) eyes; PE-02CB-110 (light blue pearls) hat; CR-01CB-109 (clear crystals) mouth; PEC-02CB-101 (large pearls) buttons; PE-02CB-127 ( pearl flourish) Snow swirls; FL-01CB-116 flower (white felt); pink gem brad
Zva Creative Supplies for owl card: CR-02CB-101 (green crystals); PE-02CB-132 (large flourish)
To create the center piece I simply used a #2 pencil, patterned paper, a square punch, hot glue gun, and 3 Styrofoam trees of various sizes. To create the trees you punch out squares (it takes 3-4 sheets of 12 by 12 paper to make a large one). Put a square on the end of the pencil and then pinch and twist it around until it stays to the form of the pencil. Remove from the pencil and hot glue it to the tree form. Make sure the sides are touching on each one you put on the tree. This will ensure you will not have any gaps.
This is a close up of the base of the center piece. Around the base I added a twig wreath that is painted silver. I added a little bird I bought at the Dollar Tree to the wreath. The trees are setting on a crystal cake plate and a sheet of the scalloped gcd studios patterned paper. I also added a ribbon around the edge of the cake plate using a few glue dots.
This little humdinger is name holder. I took a clear bulb and stuffed it full of gcd studios patterned paper. I added some ribbon, bling, flowers, a gcd studios brad, and a yard sale tag.The base is the tube off my glue dots. I added some gcd studios patterned paper and buttons.
The plate is sitting on a piece of the gcd studios scalloped patterned paper. I layered one of their clear, patterned acetate sheets over it. The plate is from Dollar Tree. I hot glued assorted buttons around the edges.
The napkin ring mainly consists of a strip of gcd studios patterned paper, a die cut from the gcd collection, some bling, a bow, a hero arts sentiment stamp and a flower.
If you have any questions...feel free to email me at m2three2000@yahoo.com. I would be happy to clarify any of your questions about the project or products I've used.
